Galaxy Tab S3 is much better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, getting a general score of 75.2 against 66.2. Both of these devices include Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy Tab S3 has a newer 9.0 Pie version while Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has Android 4.4.2 version, offering some extra features and optimized performance. Although the Galaxy Tab S3 is noticeably heavier than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, it's notably thinner and newer.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 features a slightly better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, although it has a way lower resolution of 1280 x 800, a little smaller display and a much lower pixel count per inch of display. Galaxy Tab S3 features a way bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because it has a SD memory card expansion slot that admits up to 256 GB and more internal storage.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 takes greater photographs and videos than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because it has a back facing camera with way more mega-pixels and a way better 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is way more expensive than the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, but it's still a good choice, because you can get a lot more features for that extra money.
