Comparison review
Xperia Tablet Z is a little bit better than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, having a general score of 68.5 against 66.2. Both tablets in this comparison review use Android OS (Operating System), but Xperia Tablet Z has 4.4.4 version and Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has Android 4.4.2 version. Xperia Tablet Z is an older and incredibly heavier tablet device than the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, but Sony was able to make it thinner anyway.
The Xperia Tablet Z has a little faster processor than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because although it has a slower GPU running at 400 megahertz, and they both have 4 cores, the Xperia Tablet Z also counts with a larger amount of RAM. Sony Xperia Tablet Z has a slightly better looking display than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because it has a just a bit higher amount of pixels in each display inch, a way higher resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels and a bigger screen.
The Sony Xperia Tablet Z features a way bigger storage capacity to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, and although they both have a slot for an external memory card that admits a maximum of 64 GB, the Sony Xperia Tablet Z also has 32 GB internal storage. Xperia Tablet Z captures a little bit better videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because it has a much higher video definition and a way more megapixels camera.
Sony Xperia Tablet Z has improved battery performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because it has a 35% larger battery size.
Although Sony Xperia Tablet Z is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0. If you want to save some money, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, letting go a couple features, but you will get the most out of your budget.
