The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 is much better than Asus Transformer Pad 300, getting a overall score of 66 against 53.4. Both tablets in this review come with Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has the newer 4.4.2 version while Asus Transformer Pad 300 has Android 4.2.2. The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 construction is noticeably newer, extremely lighter and a lot thinner than the Asus Transformer Pad 300.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 counts with a better screen than Asus Transformer Pad 300, because although it has a lot smaller display, and they both have the same resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 also counts with a greater screen pixels density. The Asus Transformer Pad 300's processor is just as good as the CPU in Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, and although the Asus Transformer Pad 300 has a smaller amount of RAM memory and a slower GPU, they both have the same number of cores.
Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 features a bit more storage capacity to store more games and applications than Asus Transformer Pad 300, and although they both have exactly the same 16 GB internal storage, the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 also has a SD memory card expansion slot that holds up to 64 GB. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has a very superior battery performance than Asus Transformer Pad 300.
The Asus Transformer Pad 300 takes a little bit better pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because it has a way higher video definition and a back facing camera with lot more mega-pixels.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 not only is the best tablets of the ones we are comparing here, but it's also the cheapest.
