Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is better than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, getting a 68.5 score against 60.8. Although Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is somewhat heavier than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, it's way thinner and newer. These tablets have Android OS (operating system), but Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has the newer 4.2.2 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus has Android 4.1.2, so it provides the user some nice extra features and performance tweaks.
