Comparison review

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is just a bit better than Microsoft Surface RT, with a 60.8 score against 58.4. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus counts with Android 4.1.2 operating system, while Microsoft Surface RT works with Windows RT operating system. Even though Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus and Microsoft Surface RT were released only 9 months apart, Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus's construction is notably lighter but also a little thicker than Microsoft Surface RT.

Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus has a bit more vivid screen than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has a much smaller screen and a way lower 600 x 1024 resolution, it also counts with a little bit more pixels per inch in the display. Microsoft Surface RT features a superior processing unit than Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, because it has a higher amount of RAM, more processing cores and an additional graphics processing unit.

The Microsoft Surface RT features a slightly bigger storage capacity for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with more internal storage capacity. Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus has a way better battery life than Microsoft Surface RT.

The Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus takes greater pictures and videos than Microsoft Surface RT, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same (HD) video resolution, the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus also has a camera in the back with lot more mega-pixels.

Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Microsoft Surface RT, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Microsoft Surface RT. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, else you can save some dollars and get the Microsoft Surface RT, resigning some features and specifications.
