Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus has a global score of 60.8, which is a little bit better than the Galaxy Tab A 9.7's general score of 60.5. Even though the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is older and a lot thicker than the Galaxy Tab A 9.7, it's design is still incredibly lighter. These devices have Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus has an older 4.1.2 version and Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has Android 7.1 Nougat version.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 features a little faster processor than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, because it has more 1200 megahertz cpu cores and more RAM memory. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus features a sharper display than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because although it has a quite lower resolution of 600 x 1024 pixels and a really smaller display, it also counts with a greater number of pixels per inch in the display.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus counts with a better storage for games and applications than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because although it has an external SD slot that admits a maximum of 64 GB against 128 GB, it also counts with more internal memory capacity. The Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has a bit better camera than Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 1280x720 video resolution, the Galaxy Tab A 9.7 also has a back-facing camera with lot more megapixels.

Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is a better device, it costs a lot more than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, else you can save some money and buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, resigning some specs and features.
