The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a global score of 64.8, which is a little bit better than Alcatel JOY TAB 2's overall score of 62.5. Both tablets in this review use Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a newer 4.0.4 version and Alcatel JOY TAB 2 has Android 10 version. Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7's design is just a bit thinner than Alcatel JOY TAB 2, but it is just a bit heavier and was released 9 years before.
The Alcatel JOY TAB 2 features a little better processing power than Galaxy Tab 7.7, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor, it also counts with a higher amount of RAM and 2 more CPU cores. Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a much better screen than Alcatel JOY TAB 2, because although it has a little bit smaller display, and they both have an equal resolution of 800 x 1280px, the Galaxy Tab 7.7 also counts with a bit higher pixels number per inch of screen.
Alcatel JOY TAB 2 shoots much clearer pictures and videos than Galaxy Tab 7.7, because it has a camera with a way higher 5 mega-pixels resolution and a much higher 1920x1080 video resolution. The Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a little bit more memory to store more apps and games than Alcatel JOY TAB 2, because although it has a SD card slot that holds 224 GB smaller, it also counts with more internal storage capacity.
Galaxy Tab 7.7 counts with longer battery lifetime than Alcatel JOY TAB 2, because it has a 25% bigger battery capacity.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Alcatel JOY TAB 2, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Alcatel JOY TAB 2. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can buy Alcatel JOY TAB 2, letting go a few features and specs, but you'll get the most with your budget.
