Comparison review
Galaxy Tab 7.7 is slightly better than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), with a global score of 64.8 against 59.7. These tablets include Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab 7.7 has the older 4.0.4 version and Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) has Android 9.0 Pie. The Galaxy Tab 7.7 body is a bit lighter and thinner than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), even though it was released 9 years before.
The Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a sharper screen than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), because although it has a bit smaller screen, and they both have the same exact 800 x 1280 resolution, the Galaxy Tab 7.7 also counts with a just a little greater number of pixels in each inch of display. The Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) counts with just a bit better performance than Galaxy Tab 7.7, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics co-processor, it also counts with a greater amount of RAM memory and a larger number of cores.
The Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) features a much greater storage to store more games and applications than Galaxy Tab 7.7, because although it has less internal memory, it also counts with a SD memory slot that supports a maximum of 1000 GB. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 has just a bit better camera than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), and although they both have the same 1280x720 (HD) video quality and the same video frame rate, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 also has a much higher resolution camera.

Although Galaxy Tab 7.7 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020). If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), and give up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most out of your budget.
