Comparison review
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is a little bit better than the Galaxy Tab 7.7, getting a 67.9 score against 64.8. Both devices in this review use Android OS (operating system), but the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has newer 4.4 version and Galaxy Tab 7.7 has Android 4.0.4. Even though the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is heavier than the Galaxy Tab 7.7, it's just a little thinner and also notably newer.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a superior hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, because although it has doesn't have a graphics co-processor, it also counts with a greater amount of RAM memory and 2 more CPU cores. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a more vivid screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, because it has a larger screen, a much better resolution of 1600 x 2560px and much more pixels per screen inch.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a greater camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, because it has a camera with a lot higher resolution and a lot higher (Full HD) video quality. Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a bigger storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, and although they both have equal 64 GB internal memory capacity, the Galaxy Tab 7.7 also has a SD card slot that allows a maximum of 32 GB.
The Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a much better battery performance than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9.
Despite of being the best tablet in our comparison, the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is also a lot cheaper.
