Comparison review
Galaxy Tab 7.7 is much better than the Microsoft Surface RT, with a 64.8 score against 58.4. The Galaxy Tab 7.7 has Android 4.0.4 OS, while Microsoft Surface RT works with Windows RT OS. The Galaxy Tab 7.7 body is much lighter and somewhat thinner than Microsoft Surface RT, despite of the fact that it was released around 10 months before.
The Microsoft Surface RT counts with just a bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, because it has a greater amount of RAM memory, a better 520 MHz graphics processor and a higher number of cores (but slower). Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a better display than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has a lot smaller screen and a bit worse 800 x 1280 resolution, it also counts with more pixels per inch in the display.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 shoots greater photographs and videos than Microsoft Surface RT, and although they both have the same 1280x720 (HD) video quality and the same video frame rates, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 also has a back camera with a lot better 3 mega-pixels resolution. Galaxy Tab 7.7 features a quite bigger memory to install games and applications than Microsoft Surface RT. Both have equal 64 GB internal storage.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 counts with a very superior battery lifetime than Microsoft Surface RT.
Although Galaxy Tab 7.7 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Microsoft Surface RT, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Microsoft Surface RT. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Galaxy Tab 7.7, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Microsoft Surface RT, giving up some specs and features.
