Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 is a little bit better than the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), getting a general score of 64.8 against 60.7. Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7's construction is a lot thinner and a little bit lighter than the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), even when both of them were only released 6 months apart. Both of these tablets come with Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 has the previous 4.0.4 version while Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has Android 4.1.
The Galaxy Tab 7.7 counts with a bit better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has a little larger screen, a little bit better pixels quantity per inch of screen and a better resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a superior memory to install applications and games than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and although they both have an external memory card slot that admits up to 32 GB, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 also has more internal memory.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 counts with a little better performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and although they both have the same number of cores and the same RAM memory amount, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 also has an additional graphics co-processor. Galaxy Tab 7.7 counts with improved battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has a 5100mAh battery size instead of 4000mAh.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) shoots much better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7. Both of them have the same resolution back camera, the same video frame rates and the same (HD) video definition.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0). So if you need that extra features, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, else you can save some money and get the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), letting go some specs and features.
