Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 is a bit better than Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016), getting a global score of 64.8 against 60.4. Both tablets we are comparing here come with Android OS (Operating System), but Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 has an older 4.0.4 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) has Android 5.1 Lollipop. Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7's construction is just a little bit thinner than Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016), although it's somewhat heavier and was released many years before.

Galaxy Tab A (2016)'s CPU is just as good as the processor in Galaxy Tab 7.7, because although the Galaxy Tab A (2016) has doesn't have an additional graphics co-processor, it also counts with a higher amount of RAM and more cores. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a brighter screen than Galaxy Tab A (2016), because although it has a just a little lower pixel density, and they both have the same resolution of 800 x 1280px, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 also counts with a quite larger display.

Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a much better memory for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016), because although it has a SD card slot that supports up to 32 GB against 200 GB, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory capacity. Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 has superior battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016), because it has a 5100mAh battery capacity.

Galaxy Tab A (2016) takes much better pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, and although they both have the same video quality and the same video frame rates, the Galaxy Tab A (2016) also has a camera with much more MP.

Although Galaxy Tab 7.7 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016), and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016). So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Galaxy Tab 7.7, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016), giving up some features and specifications.
