The Galaxy Tab 7.7 is just a bit better than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, getting a score of 64.8 against 62.8. Despite being the best we compare here, the Galaxy Tab 7.7 is a incredibly older, a little bit heavier and just a little bit thicker device than the Galaxy Tab A 8.0. These tablets work with Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Tab 7.7 has older 4.0.4 version and Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has Android 7.1 Nougat version.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 features a bit faster CPU than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because although it has an inferior number of cores and a smaller amount of RAM, it also counts with a graphics co-processor. The Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a sharper screen than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a bit more pixels per inch in the display and a little higher 800 x 1280 resolution.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 features a very superior storage to store more apps and games than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because although it has a slot for SD memory cards that allows a maximum of 32 GB against 128 GB, it also counts with 48 GB more internal storage capacity. Galaxy Tab A 8.0 captures slightly better videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same 1280x720 (HD) video definition, the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 also has a back facing camera with lot more mega-pixels.

Although Galaxy Tab 7.7 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy Tab A 8.0. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can buy Galaxy Tab A 8.0, giving up a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most with your savings.
