The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, with a overall score of 64.8 against 60.5. Both of these tablets work with Android OS (Operating System), but Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 has the previous 4.0.4 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has Android 7.1 Nougat. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 is a notably older and a bit thicker tablet than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, but Samsung made it much lighter anyway.

Galaxy Tab 7.7 features just a little better processing power than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because although it has 512 MB less RAM and 2 less cpu cores , it also counts with an extra graphics co-processor. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 counts with an incredibly better screen than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because although it has a really smaller screen, it also counts with a higher screen pixels density and a quite better resolution of 800 x 1280.

The Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a superior storage to store more apps and games than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because although it has a SD card slot that admits 96 GB smaller, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage capacity. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 shoots a bit better videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same (HD) video definition, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 also has a way more MP camera in the back.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 counts with a little longer battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab 7.7, because it has 6000mAh of battery capacity instead of 5100mAh.

Although Galaxy Tab 7.7 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Galaxy Tab 7.7, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, giving up a couple features and specifications.
