Galaxy Tab Active is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, getting a overall score of 67 against 64.8. Galaxy Tab Active's construction is way newer, but heavier and somewhat thicker than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7. Both of these devices work with Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Tab Active has 4.4 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 has Android 4.0.4 version, so it provides you a couple nice extra features and performance tweaks.
Galaxy Tab Active features a screen that's very similar to Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7's screen, because although the Galaxy Tab Active has a just a little less pixels per inch in the screen, and they both have the same resolution of 1280 x 800px, it also counts with a quite larger screen. Galaxy Tab 7.7 features a much greater memory capacity for games and applications than Galaxy Tab Active, because although it has a slot for external memory cards that supports up to 32 GB against 64 GB, it also counts with more internal memory.
Galaxy Tab Active counts with just a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab 7.7, because it has 2 more cores (but slower), a faster GPU and more RAM. Galaxy Tab 7.7 counts with a bit superior battery duration than Galaxy Tab Active, because it has 5100mAh of battery capacity instead of 4450mAh.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has a superior camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, and although they both have the same 1280x720 (HD) video definition and the same video frame rates, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active also has a more mega-pixels back camera.
The Galaxy Tab Active not only is the best tablets of the ones in this comparison, but it's also a lot cheaper.
