Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is much better than the Galaxy Tab 7.7, getting a global score of 74.5 against 64.8. These devices have Android OS (Operating System), but Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has the newer 4.4.2 version and Galaxy Tab 7.7 has Android 4.0.4 version. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 design is a lot newer, somewhat thinner and somewhat lighter than Galaxy Tab 7.7.
The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a bit better processing power than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processing unit, it also counts with more CPU cores and a larger amount of RAM. The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 features a better display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, because it has a bit bigger screen, a lot higher display density and a much better resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a bigger memory to install games and applications than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because although it has a slot for an SD memory card that allows 96 GB smaller, it also counts with more internal memory. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 shoots much clearer photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, because it has a much higher 8 mega-pixels resolution back facing camera and a lot better video resolution.
Galaxy Tab 7.7 features just a little bit longer battery life than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because it has a 4 percent larger battery capacity.
