The Sony Xperia Tablet Z is a newer and thinner tablet than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, but it's way heavier. Both of these tablets come with Android OS (Operating System), but Sony Xperia Tablet Z has 4.4.4 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 has Android 4.0.4.
