Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE is much better than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, getting a overall score of 63.5 against 57.6. Both devices in this comparison review work with Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE has an older 4.0 version while Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has Android 6.0 Marshmallow version. The Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE body has the same thickness than the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, but it's a little bit heavier.
Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has a little bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processing unit, it also counts with a larger number of cores and a greater amount of RAM. The Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE features a little more vivid screen than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, although it has a little bit smaller screen, a way worse display density and a lot lower resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels.
Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has a quite bigger storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE, and although they both have equal internal storage capacity, the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD also has a slot for SD memory cards that holds a maximum of 128 GB.
The Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE and the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD have similar battery performance. Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD features a much better camera than Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE, because it has a much higher 1920x1080 video quality and a much more mega-pixels back camera.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE costs more than the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, but it's still a great choice, because you can get a better tablet for that extra money.
