Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a score of 68.5, which is much better than the Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE's 58.8 global score. The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 body is newer, a little bit thinner and somewhat lighter than the Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE. Both tablets we are comparing work with Android OS (operating system), but Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has the newer 4.2.2 version and Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE has Android 4.0, so it gives you a couple nice extra features.

The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a better performing processor than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE, because it has an extra GPU and a larger number of cores (and faster). Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 features a lot better looking display than Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE, and although they both have a display of the same size, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 also has a lot better 1600 x 2560 resolution and a way greater display pixel density.

Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a way better camera than Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE, because it has a back facing camera with a way better 8 MP resolution. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has much more memory for apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE, because it has 64 GB internal storage. Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE has a way better battery performance than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9.
