Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) is much better than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE, with a score of 65 against 58.8. Both tablets in this review use Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has 4.1 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE has Android 4.0 version. Even though the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) is newer than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE, it's somewhat thicker and extremely heavier.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE counts with a little bit better display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), because although it has a bit smaller screen, and they both have an equal resolution of 800 x 1280px, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE also counts with a just a little greater pixel amount per inch of display.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) features a lot bigger storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE, and although they both have equal internal storage, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) also has an external SD slot that holds a maximum of 32 GB.
