Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has a score of 60.5, which is a bit better than Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE's 58.8 overall score. Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 is a noticeably newer portable tablet, and it is also a little lighter and somewhat thinner than Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE. Both of these tablets come with Android operating system, but Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has newer 7.1 Nougat version and Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE has Android 4.0 version, so it counts with a couple additional features.

The Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE features a lot better display than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a better quantity of pixels per inch of display and a bit higher 800 x 1280px resolution. The Galaxy Tab A 9.7 counts with a much greater storage for apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE, and although they both have the same 16 GB internal memory capacity, the Galaxy Tab A 9.7 also has an external memory slot that allows a maximum of 128 GB.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 features a bit better processor than Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE, because it has a higher number of cores.
