Galaxy Tab S 10.5 is much better than the Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE, getting a overall score of 74.3 against 58.8. Both of these tablets come with Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 has newer 4.4.2 version while Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE has Android 4.0 version. The Galaxy Tab S 10.5 body is much newer and notably thinner than the Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE's, although it is also a little bit heavier.

Galaxy Tab S 10.5 has a better performing processor than Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE, because it has a higher number of cores (and also faster). Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 counts with a more vivid display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE, because it has a way higher pixels number per display inch, a much higher resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels and a larger display.
