Comparison review
Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) is a bit better than the Galaxy Tab 8.9, getting a 58.6 score against 58.1. The Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) construction is newer and way lighter than the Galaxy Tab 8.9's, but it's also somewhat thicker. Both devices in our current comparison have Android OS (operating system), but Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) has newer 9.0 Pie version and Galaxy Tab 8.9 has Android 3.0.
Galaxy Tab 8.9 features a little more vivid display than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), because although it has a quite lower display pixels density, and they both have an equal 800 x 1280px resolution, the Galaxy Tab 8.9 also counts with a little bit larger screen. Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) features a much bigger memory for games and applications than Galaxy Tab 8.9, because although it has less internal storage, it also counts with an external memory card slot that holds a maximum of 1000 GB.
Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) features a superior processor than Galaxy Tab 8.9, because it has a larger number of faster cores. The Galaxy Tab 8.9 features just a bit better camera than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), and although they both have the same (HD) video definition and the same video frame rates, the Galaxy Tab 8.9 also has a way higher 3 megapixels resolution camera in the back.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 has a much better battery duration than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020).
In addition to being the best tablet in our comparison, the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) is also a bargain compared to the other tablets, which makes this tablet an obvious call.
