Comparison review
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is much better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, having a general score of 67.9 against 58.1. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 body is a lot newer, thinner and lighter than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9. Both of these tablets use Android OS, but Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a more recent 4.4 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 has Android 3.0.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a much more vibrant screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, and although they both have a display of the same size, the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 also has a much better pixel density and a lot better 1600 x 2560 resolution. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features as much memory for games and applications as Galaxy Tab 8.9, both have equal 64 GB internal storage.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a much greater processing power than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, because it has a greater number of cores. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a greater camera than Galaxy Tab 8.9, because it has a way higher video definition and a way better resolution camera in the back. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 counts with a very superior battery performance than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is a lot more expensive than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, but it's still a good choice, as you can get a lot more features for that extra money.
