Dell Venue 8 7840 has a score of 61, which is a bit better than Galaxy Tab 8.9's 58.1 overall score. Dell Venue 8 7840 is a noticeably thinner and a lot lighter portable tablet than Galaxy Tab 8.9. Both of these tablets work with Android OS (operating system), but the Dell Venue 8 7840 has the newer 4.4 version and Galaxy Tab 8.9 has Android 3.0, so it offers a couple nice extra features.
