Comparison review
The Galaxy Tab 8.9 is a little bit better than GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, with a score of 58.1 against 57.5. Even though Galaxy Tab 8.9 is extremely older and notably heavier than the GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, it's body is still thinner. Both devices in this comparison come with Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Tab 8.9 has older 3.0 version and GALAXY Tab 3 Kids has Android 4.1.
The Galaxy Tab 8.9 and the GALAXY Tab 3 Kids count with very similar screens, and although the GALAXY Tab 3 Kids has a lot smaller screen and a way worse resolution of 600 x 1024px, they both have a higher pixels number in each screen inch. Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 features a much bigger storage capacity to store more games and applications than Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory.
The GALAXY Tab 3 Kids counts with a little bit better processing power than Galaxy Tab 8.9. Both have the same number of cores. Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Kids features a camera that's just as good as the camera in Galaxy Tab 8.9, both of them have a same resolution back-facing camera. The Galaxy Tab 8.9 counts with a much better battery life than GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, because it has a 6000mAh battery capacity against 4000mAh.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Kids. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can buy Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, letting go a few specs and features, but you'll get the most with your budget.
