Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 is a bit better than the Galaxy Tab 8.9, having a 60.5 score against 58.1. These tablets include Android OS (operating system), but the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has 7.1 Nougat version while Galaxy Tab 8.9 has Android 3.0, so it provides a lot of extra features. Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7's body is noticeably newer, thinner and a bit lighter than the Galaxy Tab 8.9.
The Galaxy Tab 8.9 features a way better looking screen than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a greater screen pixels density and a little bit higher 800 x 1280px resolution. Galaxy Tab 8.9 features more memory to install applications and games than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 48 GB more internal memory capacity.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 features a little faster CPU than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, because it has 2 more processing cores. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 features a slightly better camera than Galaxy Tab 8.9, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same (HD) video definition, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 also has a lot more megapixels back-facing camera.
