Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 has a general score of 79, which is way better than Galaxy Tab 8.9's overall score of 58.1. Both of these devices work with Android OS (Operating System), but Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 has a newer 10 version while Galaxy Tab 8.9 has Android 3.0, so it counts with some additional features. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 construction is incredibly newer and a bit lighter than the Galaxy Tab 8.9's, but it is also thicker.
The Galaxy Tab Active 3 counts with a bit better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a lot greater quantity of pixels per inch of screen and a much higher 1200 x 1920 pixels resolution. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 has a much faster processing unit than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, because it has more CPU cores.
The Galaxy Tab Active 3 has a much better memory capacity for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, and although they both have equal internal memory capacity, the Galaxy Tab Active 3 also has a slot for an external memory card that allows a maximum of 1 TB. The Galaxy Tab 8.9 features improved battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab Active 3, because it has a 6000mAh battery size.
Galaxy Tab Active 3 takes a lot better videos and photos than Galaxy Tab 8.9, because it has a lot more mega pixels back camera and a much higher 3840x2160 (4K) video definition.
The Galaxy Tab Active 3 is a lot more expensive than Galaxy Tab 8.9, but it's still a convenient choice, as you can get a much better tablet for that extra money.
