Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has an overall score of 67, which is much better than the Galaxy Tab 8.9's global score of 58.1. Both devices in our current comparison have Android operating system, but Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has 4.4 version and Galaxy Tab 8.9 has Android 3.0. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active design is newer and somewhat lighter than Galaxy Tab 8.9's, but it is also somewhat thicker.
The Galaxy Tab Active counts with a bit better display than Galaxy Tab 8.9, because although it has a bit smaller display, and they both have an equal resolution of 1280 x 800, the Galaxy Tab Active also counts with a quite greater screen pixels density. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active features a better performance than Galaxy Tab 8.9, because it has a larger number of cores (and they are faster) and a graphics co-processor.
Galaxy Tab 8.9 features a much bigger memory to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage. The Galaxy Tab Active has a superior camera than Galaxy Tab 8.9, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same 1280x720 video definition, the Galaxy Tab Active also has a camera in the back with a higher resolution.
Galaxy Tab 8.9 has longer battery performance than Galaxy Tab Active, because it has 6000mAh of battery capacity.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is a lot more expensive than the Galaxy Tab 8.9, but you can get a better tablet for that extra money.
