The Galaxy Tab E 8.0 is much better than the Galaxy Tab 8.9, getting a 64.9 score against 58.1. Although the Galaxy Tab E 8.0 is a bit thicker than Galaxy Tab 8.9, it's lighter and also much newer. These tablets come with Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab E 8.0 has newer 5.1 Lollipop version and Galaxy Tab 8.9 has Android 3.0 version.
The Galaxy Tab E 8.0 has a little bit better processing power than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, because it has a larger number of cores. Galaxy Tab 8.9 features a more vivid display than Galaxy Tab E 8.0, because although it has a little worse pixels count in each display inch, and they both have the same resolution of 800 x 1280, the Galaxy Tab 8.9 also counts with a quite larger display.
Galaxy Tab E 8.0 shoots way better photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 8.9, and although they both have the same (HD) video quality and the same video frame rates, the Galaxy Tab E 8.0 also has a back camera with lot more MP. The Galaxy Tab 8.9 features more memory for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage.
Galaxy Tab 8.9 features better battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab E 8.0, because it has 6000mAh of battery capacity against 5000mAh.
