Both tablets in our current comparison work with Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) has the newer 8.1 Oreo version while Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE has Android 4.1 version. Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016)'s body is a lot newer and incredibly thinner, but way heavier than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE.

Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) has just a bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processor, it also counts with 1 GB more RAM memory and a higher number of cores. Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) features just a bit better looking display than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because it has a greater screen pixels density, a lot bigger screen and a much better resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels.
