The Galaxy Tab A 10.5 has a general score of 74.5, which is a little bit better than Apple iPad 3's global score of 71.1. Galaxy Tab A 10.5's design is newer, thinner and somewhat lighter than the Apple iPad 3. The Galaxy Tab A 10.5 counts with Android 9.0 Pie operating system, while Apple iPad 3 has iOS 6.1 operating system.
Apple iPad 3 has a better looking screen than Galaxy Tab A 10.5, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a little bit higher 1536 x 2048 resolution and a little more pixels per inch of display. Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 features a superior storage capacity for apps and games than Apple iPad 3, because although it has only 32 GB internal storage, it also counts with a slot for an SD memory card that allows up to 400 GB.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 has a more powerful processing unit than iPad 3, because it has 2 GB more RAM and more CPU cores. IPad 3 has a much longer battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5, because it has 11560mAh of battery capacity. The Galaxy Tab A 10.5 takes clearer photographs and videos than iPad 3, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition and the same video frame rates, the Galaxy Tab A 10.5 also has a way bigger diafragm aperture and a camera in the back with a way better 8 MP resolution.
Although Galaxy Tab A 10.5 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Apple iPad 3, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Apple iPad 3. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Galaxy Tab A 10.5, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Apple iPad 3, giving up some specs and features.
