The Google Pixel Slate is just a bit better than the Galaxy Tab A 10.5, getting a 79.3 score against 74.5. The Google Pixel Slate comes with Chrome OS OS, and Galaxy Tab A 10.5 works with Android 9.0 Pie OS. The Google Pixel Slate design is much heavier but just a little thinner than Galaxy Tab A 10.5, and both were only released with a couple of months difference.
Galaxy Tab A 10.5 features a bit more powerful processing unit than Google Pixel Slate, because although it has a lower amount of RAM, it also counts with a higher number of cores. The Google Pixel Slate has a sharper display than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5, because it has a larger screen, a greater pixels number per inch in the screen and a much higher 3000 x 2000px resolution.
Google Pixel Slate captures a little bit better pictures and videos than Galaxy Tab A 10.5, and although they both have the same video quality, the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and a same resolution camera in the back, the Google Pixel Slate also has a bigger camera aperture to capture better captures and videos in low light situations.
Google Pixel Slate counts with a much greater memory to store more apps and games than Galaxy Tab A 10.5, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with more internal memory. Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 features a very superior battery life than Google Pixel Slate.
Although Google Pixel Slate is a better device, it is way more expensive than Galaxy Tab A 10.5, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy Tab A 10.5. If you want to save a few dollars, you can buy the Galaxy Tab A 10.5, and give up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most with your savings.
