The Galaxy Tab A 10.5 is a bit better than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), getting a score of 74.5 against 68.3. Even though Galaxy Tab A 10.5 and Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) were only released 1 months apart, Galaxy Tab A 10.5's body is somewhat thinner but notably heavier than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018). These devices come with Android OS, but Galaxy Tab A 10.5 has a newer 9.0 Pie version and Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) has Android 8.1 Oreo version.

The Galaxy Tab A 10.5 has a little sharper screen than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), because it has a way better resolution of 1200 x 1920px, a little bit higher pixel count in each inch of display and a lot larger display. The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) counts with as much memory capacity to store more apps and games as the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 one, both of them have a slot for an external memory card that holds a maximum of 400 GB and equal 32 GB internal storage capacity.

The Galaxy Tab A 10.5 features a bit faster processor than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), because it has more RAM memory and more cores. The Galaxy Tab A 10.5 has a way better battery life than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), because it has a 7300mAh battery capacity instead of 5000mAh. Galaxy Tab A 10.5 has a little bit better camera than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), and although they both have the same 30 fps video frame rates and the same 1920x1080 video definition, the Galaxy Tab A 10.5 also has a bigger diafragm aperture and a way higher resolution back-facing camera.

Although Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018). If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), letting go a few features and specifications, but you will get the most with your money.
