Galaxy Tab S8 is slightly better than Galaxy Tab A 10.5, getting a general score of 76.7 against 74.5. Both of these tablets use Android OS, but the Galaxy Tab S8 has the previous 13 version and Galaxy Tab A 10.5 has Android 9.0 Pie version. The Galaxy Tab S8 is a newer portable tablet, and it's also somewhat thinner and a little bit lighter than Galaxy Tab A 10.5.
Galaxy Tab A 10.5 counts with a very superior hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, although it has a smaller amount of RAM, they both have a Octa-Core CPU. Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 has a bit more vivid screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, although it has a bit worse display pixels density, a way worse resolution of 1200 x 1920 and a little bit smaller display.
The Galaxy Tab S8 features a very superior memory capacity for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5, because it has more internal storage capacity and a slot for an external memory card that holds up to 1 TB. Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 takes just a bit better videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5, because it has a back facing camera with way more MP and a way higher 3840x2160 (4K) video definition.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 features a little longer battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab A 10.5, because it has an 8000mAh battery size instead of 7300mAh.
Although Galaxy Tab S8 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Galaxy Tab A 10.5, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy Tab A 10.5. If you want to save some dollars, you can get the Galaxy Tab A 10.5, letting go a few specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
