The Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) is a bit better than the Asus Fonepad 7, getting a global score of 60.4 against 58.9. These tablets come with Android OS (Operating System), but the Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) has a newer 5.1 Lollipop version while Asus Fonepad 7 has Android 5.0 version, providing the user some nice extra features. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) is a a bit lighter and somewhat thinner portable tablet than the Asus Fonepad 7.

The Asus Fonepad 7 counts with just a bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016), and although they both have 4 CPU cores, the Asus Fonepad 7 also has a 64-bit processor and a greater amount of RAM. The Asus Fonepad 7 has a better looking display than Galaxy Tab A (2016). They have a same size display, the same quantity of pixels in each display inch and exactly the same 1280 x 800 resolution.

The Galaxy Tab A (2016) captures better pictures and videos than Asus Fonepad 7. Both of them have the same 1280x720 video quality, a 5 mega-pixels resolution back-facing camera and the same video frame rate. The Asus Fonepad 7 has slightly more memory to install games and applications than Galaxy Tab A (2016), because although it has an external memory card slot that admits 136 GB smaller, it also counts with more internal storage.

The Galaxy Tab A (2016) features a much better battery performance than Asus Fonepad 7.

Although Galaxy Tab A (2016) is a better device, it costs more than Asus Fonepad 7, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Asus Fonepad 7. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Galaxy Tab A (2016), but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Asus Fonepad 7, giving up some specifications.
