Both of these devices use Android OS, but LG G Pad X 8.0 has newer 6.0 Marshmallow version and Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) has Android 5.1 Lollipop version, so it counts with lots of additional features. LG G Pad X 8.0's body is a little heavier but a bit thinner than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016), and both were released with only a couple months difference.
