Comparison review

The Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) is a lot better than Galaxy Tab A (2016), getting a 75.8 score against 60.4. Both tablets we compare here include Android operating system, but Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) has the previous 4.4.2 version and Galaxy Tab A (2016) has Android 5.1 Lollipop. Although Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) is noticeably older and incredibly heavier than the Galaxy Tab A (2016), it's construction is still a little bit thinner.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) counts with a better performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016), and although they both have the same number of cores, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) also has a higher amount of RAM and an extra graphics processor. Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) features an incredibly better screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016), because it has a greater display pixel density, a lot better 1600 x 2560 resolution and a much larger display.

The Galaxy Tab A (2016) takes slightly better videos and photos than Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014), although it has a camera with way less megapixels and a lot worse video resolution. The Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) counts with a way bigger memory capacity for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016), because although it has a slot for an SD memory card that supports a maximum of 64 GB against 200 GB, it also counts with 24 GB more internal storage capacity.

Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) features a much better battery performance than Galaxy Tab A (2016), because it has a 106% bigger battery capacity.

Although Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016), and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016). If you prefer to save some money, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016), and give up a couple features, but you will get the most with your savings.
