Comparison review

Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has a global score of 62.7, which is a bit better than Galaxy Tab A (2016)'s 60.4 general score. These tablets have Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has the previous 4.0 version and Galaxy Tab A (2016) has Android 5.1 Lollipop version. Galaxy Tab 2 10.1's design is extremely older, much heavier and thicker than Galaxy Tab A (2016).

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) counts with a little sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because although it has a way smaller display, and they both have an equal resolution of 800 x 1280, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) also counts with a higher display pixels density. The Galaxy Tab A (2016) features a greater storage to store more apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, and although they both have exactly the same 8 GB internal storage, the Galaxy Tab A (2016) also has an external memory slot that allows up to 200 GB.

The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 features a bit faster processor than Galaxy Tab A (2016), because although it has a smaller amount of RAM and 2 less processing cores (although they are faster), it also counts with an additional GPU. The Galaxy Tab A (2016) has a greater camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because it has a back-facing camera with way more mega-pixels.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 counts with a way better battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016), because it has a 75 percent bigger battery capacity.

Although Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Galaxy Tab A (2016), and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy Tab A (2016). If you are trying to save some money, you can get the Galaxy Tab A (2016), letting go a couple features and specs, but you will get the most out of your money.
