Comparison review
IPad Air 2 is much better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, getting a score of 79.3 against 62.8. Even though the iPad Air 2 and the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 were released only a couple of months apart, iPad Air 2's design is thinner but a lot heavier. IPad Air 2 comes with iOS 8.x operating system, and Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has Android 7.1 Nougat operating system.
The iPad Air 2 has a little better performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because although it has a lower number of cores (although faster), it also counts with 512 MB more RAM memory and a 64-bit processor. Apple iPad Air 2 features a much sharper screen than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because it has a lot higher 2048 x 1536 resolution, a larger screen and a much better screen density.
IPad Air 2 features a greater camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because it has a much higher resolution back facing camera and a way higher (Full HD) video quality. IPad Air 2 has much more memory capacity to store more apps and games than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with more internal storage capacity.

The iPad Air 2 is a lot more expensive than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, but you can get a much better tablet for that extra money.
