The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has a score of 62.8, which is slightly better than Asus Fonepad 7's 58.9 overall score. These tablets come with Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has a newer 7.1 Nougat version and Asus Fonepad 7 has Android 5.0 version, counting with some nice extra features. The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is a just a bit heavier but thinner tablet than Asus Fonepad 7.

Asus Fonepad 7 counts with just a bit better performance than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, and although they both have 4 processing cores, the Asus Fonepad 7 also has more RAM and a 64 bits processor. Asus Fonepad 7 counts with an incredibly better screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a higher count of pixels per inch in the display and a slightly better resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels.

Galaxy Tab A 8.0 counts with just a bit bigger storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Asus Fonepad 7, and although they both have exactly the same 16 GB internal memory, the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 also has a slot for external memory cards that supports up to 128 GB. Asus Fonepad 7 features a camera that is very similar to the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 one, and although the Asus Fonepad 7 has a much better 1920x1080 video quality, they both have a 5 mega-pixels resolution back facing camera.

The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has a very superior battery performance than Asus Fonepad 7.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is more expensive than Asus Fonepad 7, but you can get a better tablet for that extra dollars.
