Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is a bit better than the Google Nexus 7, having a 62.8 score against 59.3. Both of these tablets include Android OS, but Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has 7.1 Nougat version while Google Nexus 7 has Android 5.1. Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is a much newer tablet, and it is also a little lighter and a lot thinner than Google Nexus 7.

Google Nexus 7 has a little bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because although it has a lower amount of RAM, and they both have the same number of cores, the Google Nexus 7 also counts with an extra graphics processor. The Google Nexus 7 has a lot better looking display than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a little higher 800 x 1280 resolution and a higher pixel density.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 takes much clearer pictures and videos than Google Nexus 7. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 counts with a greater memory for games and applications than Google Nexus 7, because although it has only 16 GB internal storage, it also counts with a SD extension slot that allows a maximum of 128 GB.

Google Nexus 7 features just a bit better battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because it has a 4325mAh battery capacity against 4200mAh.

Although Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Google Nexus 7, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Google Nexus 7.
