Huawei MediaPad X2 is better than the Galaxy Tab A 8.0, having a 72.7 score against 62.8. Huawei MediaPad X2's body is much lighter and just a little bit thinner than the Galaxy Tab A 8.0, although they were released with only 1 months difference. Both tablets in this comparison come with Android operating system, but Huawei MediaPad X2 has older 5.0 version while Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has Android 7.1 Nougat version.

Huawei MediaPad X2 has a quite superior hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because it has a 64-bits CPU, a larger number of cores and 1,5 GB more RAM. The Huawei MediaPad X2 features a lot better looking display than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a much greater count of pixels per inch of display and a much higher 1920 x 1200 resolution.

The Huawei MediaPad X2 features a way bigger memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, and although they both have an external memory card slot that allows up to 128 GB, the Huawei MediaPad X2 also has more internal memory. Huawei MediaPad X2 shoots much clearer pictures and videos than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because it has a way higher 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition and a camera in the back with lot more mega pixels.

Huawei MediaPad X2 features greater battery performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity instead of 4200mAh.

Although Huawei MediaPad X2 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Galaxy Tab A 8.0, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy Tab A 8.0. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Huawei MediaPad X2, otherwise you can save some money and get the Galaxy Tab A 8.0, giving up some specs and features.
