Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has a score of 62.8, which is just a bit better than LG G Pad 8.0's 58.6 overall score. The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 body is just a little bit lighter and noticeably thinner than the LG G Pad 8.0. Both tablets in this comparison come with Android OS, but Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has 7.1 Nougat version while LG G Pad 8.0 has Android 5.0, offering a couple additional features and enhanced performance.

LG G Pad 8.0 counts with a little better processing power than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because although it has a lower amount of RAM, and they both have 4 cores, the LG G Pad 8.0 also counts with an extra GPU. The LG G Pad 8.0 counts with a better display than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, and although they both have a display of the same size, the LG G Pad 8.0 also has a just a little more pixels per inch of display and a bit higher resolution of 1280 x 800px.

Galaxy Tab A 8.0 features a little bit better memory capacity to store more games and applications than LG G Pad 8.0, and although they both have equal 16 GB internal memory capacity, the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 also has a slot for an external memory card that admits a maximum of 128 GB. The LG G Pad 8.0's camera is just as good as the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 one, and although the LG G Pad 8.0 has a lot better (Full HD) video resolution, they both have a same resolution back-facing camera.

The LG G Pad 8.0's battery performance is just as good as the battery performance in Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0.

The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 costs a lot more money than the LG G Pad 8.0, but it's still a great deal, as you can get a lot more for that extra money.
