Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 has a general score of 76.7, which is a lot better than the Galaxy Tab A 8.0's 62.8 general score. Although the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 is notably heavier than the Galaxy Tab A 8.0, it's thinner and also noticeably newer. Both of these tablets work with Android OS (Operating System), but Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 has older 13 version and Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has Android 7.1 Nougat.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 features a little more vivid display than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because it has a way bigger screen, a way greater pixel density and a lot better 1600 x 2560 resolution. Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 counts with a much greater performance than Galaxy Tab S8, although it has 6,5 GB lesser RAM memory and an inferior number of cores.

Galaxy Tab S8 counts with a lot bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because it has an external SD slot that supports up to 1 TB and 112 GB more internal memory. The Galaxy Tab S8 has a much better camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because it has a way better resolution back facing camera and a way better 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution.

The Galaxy Tab S8 counts with a very superior battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because it has an 8000mAh battery size against 4200mAh.

Although Galaxy Tab S8 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Galaxy Tab A 8.0, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy Tab A 8.0. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Galaxy Tab S8, else you can save some money and get the Galaxy Tab A 8.0, resigning some features and specs.
