Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) has a general score of 65.7, which is much better than LG G Pad 8.0's score of 58.6. These tablets come with Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) has the newer 9.0 Pie version while LG G Pad 8.0 has Android 5.0 version, so it counts with a couple additional features and performance tweaks. Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017)'s construction is somewhat thinner but a little heavier than LG G Pad 8.0.

LG G Pad 8.0 has a more vivid display than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017). Both of them have a same size display, the same 1280 x 800 resolution and the same display density. The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) features a very superior storage to install games and applications than LG G Pad 8.0, and although they both have the same 16 GB internal memory capacity, the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) also has a slot for SD memory cards that admits up to 256 GB.
