Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) is much better than the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, with a 65.7 score against 57.6. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) body is newer, but thicker and a little bit heavier than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD. Both tablets in this review use Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) has 9.0 Pie version and Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has just a little better performance than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), because it has a higher amount of RAM and a greater number of faster cores. The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD counts with a more vivid screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), and although they both have a same size screen, the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD also has a lot higher 1200 x 1920 resolution and a better pixels number in each display inch.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) and the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD feature incredibly similar cameras, and although the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has a tinier diafragm aperture, they both have the same video frame rate, the same 1920x1080 video definition and the same resolution back camera. The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD counts with just a little better battery duration than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), because it has a 2 percent bigger battery size.
