Comparison review

The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) has a global score of 68.3, which is just a bit better than the Alcatel JOY TAB 2's global score of 62.5. These tablets have Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) has the newer 8.1 Oreo version and Alcatel JOY TAB 2 has Android 10 version, so it counts with some extra features and better performance. Although it's the best in this comparison, we must highlight that it's also notably older, just a little thicker and heavier.

The Alcatel JOY TAB 2 has a little faster CPU than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), and although they both have a Quad-Core processing unit, the Alcatel JOY TAB 2 also has more RAM. Alcatel JOY TAB 2 features a bit sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018). They have a higher quantity of pixels per display inch, a screen of the same size and the same 800 x 1280 resolution.

Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) has a slightly better memory for games and applications than Alcatel JOY TAB 2, and although they both have equal internal memory, the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) also has a SD extension slot that supports up to 400 GB. Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) takes much clearer photos and videos than Alcatel JOY TAB 2. Both of them have the same resolution camera in the back, the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates.

The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) counts with better battery performance than Alcatel JOY TAB 2, because it has a 5000mAh battery capacity.

Although Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Alcatel JOY TAB 2, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Alcatel JOY TAB 2. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Alcatel JOY TAB 2, letting go a couple features and specifications.
