Comparison review

The Google Nexus 7 (2013) has an overall score of 70.7, which is slightly better than the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018)'s 68.3 score. Even though the Google Nexus 7 (2013) is extremely older than the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), it's body is a little thinner and lighter. These tablets include Android OS, but Google Nexus 7 (2013) has older 5.0 version and Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) has Android 8.1 Oreo.

The Google Nexus 7 (2013) features a much better screen than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a much higher resolution of 1200 x 1920 and a much greater display pixel density. Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) features a much bigger memory for applications and games than Google Nexus 7 (2013), and although they both have the same internal storage capacity, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) also has an external memory slot that allows a maximum of 400 GB.

Google Nexus 7 (2013) has a bit superior processor than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), and although they both have a Quad-Core CPU and a 2 GB RAM memory, the Google Nexus 7 (2013) also has an extra graphics co-processor. Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) has improved battery duration than Google Nexus 7 (2013), because it has a 27% more battery size.

The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) shoots better photos and videos than Google Nexus 7 (2013), and although they both have the same video frame rates, a same resolution back camera and the same (Full HD) video definition, the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) also has a bigger aperture.

Despite of being the best tablet of the ones we are comparing here, the Google Nexus 7 (2013) is also cheaper, making it a very good choice.
