Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) has a general score of 68.3, which is slightly better than the LG G Pad X II 10.1's 65.4 overall score. The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) body is newer and way lighter than LG G Pad X II 10.1's, although it's somewhat thicker. Both of these tablets work with Android OS, but Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) has newer 8.1 Oreo version while LG G Pad X II 10.1 has Android 6.0 Marshmallow, providing the user a couple nice extra features and better performance.

LG G Pad X II 10.1 has a little better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), and although they both have a 2 GB RAM memory, the LG G Pad X II 10.1 also has a larger number of cores. The LG G Pad X II 10.1 features a little sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), because it has a lot better 1920 x 1200 resolution, a bigger screen and a just a bit better quantity of pixels in each inch of screen.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) has a lot better camera than LG G Pad X II 10.1. They have the same video frame rate, the same (Full HD) video definition and a 5 mega-pixels back-facing camera. The LG G Pad X II 10.1 counts with a much better memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), because although it has only 16 GB internal memory, it also counts with a slot for an SD memory card that supports up to 1,95 TB.

The LG G Pad X II 10.1 features superior battery life than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), because it has a 6000mAh battery size.
